Inspired by femininity in sportswear, this cropped drop-shoulder Henley tee is both sporty and elegant, a comfy simple sweater for your handmade wardrobe. It is knit bottom-up in the round first with a cinched half-twisted rib waistline, then flat when you split for sleeves, and the front is split into left and right to create the Henley neckline. Shoulders are joined using three-needle bind off, and the garment is finished with a half-twisted rib collar and short sleeves.
This top is made for the advanced beginner or intermediate knitter and uses skills including a stretchy cast-on (German Twisted), half-twisted rib both flat and in the round, a three-needle bind-off, slipping stitches (for super clean neckline decreases), picking up stitches, and eyelet buttonholes.
