Sweet Seedlings - Free Ear Warmer Knitting Pattern

Come knit the Sweet Seedlings Ear Warmer with me; a simple seed stitch ear warmer pattern with i-cord edging (plus, you can knit it in either DK or Bulky weight yarn!).

This pattern is great for beginner knitters looking to expand their skill set, or more advanced knitters looking for a fun quick project. Never done an i-cord edge before? Don't worry - it's much simpler than you would expect, just consisting of knit and slip stitches.

Final measurement of 18” circumference stretches to fit head circumference 22.5”

Or, test size as you go to customize to your head circumference.

Materials and Yardage

 Version  Yardage (approx.) Sample Yarn

Other Yarn Ideas

  • Hold two different color yarns together - for a DK equivalent use 2 strands of Fingering weight, and for a Bulky equivalent use 2 strands of DK weight
  • Want something super soft? An alpaca bulky yarn that I love is Cascade Yarns Baby Alpaca
  • On a Budget? Try one of the many different colors of Paintbox Yarns Simply DK
  • One of my absolute favorite places online to browse different yarn brands is LoveCrafts

Thank you for knitting my pattern - I hope it brings some joy and coziness to your day. This is one of those patterns I knit again and again for gifts (it goes especially quickly in bulky weight).
